Call for Presentations
Share your expertise and experience with the multidisciplinary oncology community
ACCC's 29th National Oncology Conference is the premier professional development event for all oncology disciplines. Whether you're a medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, oncology nurse, medical director, program administrator, manager in a group practice, oncology pharmacist, or social worker, ACCC would like to invite you to submit your ideas for conference sessions or discussion roundtables that will help the cancer care team. Educational sessions range from small groups of 40 to general sessions of 450.
The following are examples of topics consistent with the theme "Create Change" of ACCC's 2012 National Oncology Conference, but presentation submissions are not limited to these topics:
- Challenges and Solutions to Meeting Physician Supervision Rules
- Tips for Maximizing Use of Oncology EHR/EMR Systems
- How to Assure Efficiency and Financial Viability of a Clinical Research Program
- Application, Implementation, and Finances of Cancer Management Systems that Integrate Clinical Pathways into Daily Workflow
- Models for Subcontracting with an Accountable Care Organization
- Strategies for Improving and Expanding Prevention and Wellness Programs
- Innovative Approaches to Coping with the Oncology Drug Shortage.
Submit your topic, summary, and biography by March 15, 2012. Download the Submission Form (MS Word 52 KB) and email it to labankert@accc-cancer.org.
Guidelines about reimbursement and responsibilities.
To ensure a balanced program, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by ACCC's Program Committee. ACCC will notify you whether you have been selected as a presenter. If you have questions or need further information, contact LuAnne Bankert at labankert@accc-cancer.org or call 301.984.9496.
What Makes an "Excellent" Presentation?
Create a presentation that tells a story, from the conception of your best-practice strategy. Telling the complete story–touching on all aspects of program development from beginning to implementation and beyond—will provide a rich and powerful learning experience for ACCC conference attendees. Presentations should be no more than one hour and allow time for discussion.
